Horse bedding pellets

Premium bedding pellets for horses

Ground to an open structure, screened and pressed at +85…110 °C. Watered, the pellets open into a soft, dry bed that binds ammonia and cuts daily mucking-out to minutes.

Animal bedding pellets

Whole or crushed pellets for cattle, poultry and small animals

The same clean straw pellet, whole or crushed to the fraction your animals need. Dry lying areas, low ammonia, small manure volume and fast composting.

Heating pellets

Straw pellets as a renewable fuel

A CO₂-neutral agro-fuel for boilers and biomass plants designed for straw. Low moisture from the pressing process; ash content higher than wood pellets, so the boiler must be suitable – we advise and send the specification.

Straw briquettes

Straw briquettes for stoves and solid-fuel boilers

Compressed, chemically untreated straw. Burns longer than firewood, produces little smoke or odour and leaves under 3% ash – with a heating value of 19.39 MJ/kg.

Specifications

What is in the bag

Raw material

100% cereal straw from Baltic farms – wheat, barley, rye. Every batch is checked for moisture and contamination before pelletising.

Pellet size

Cylindrical, 8 mm standard or 10 mm, 10–40 mm long, yellow-brown. Crushed fractions for cattle and poultry.

Absorbency & dust

Open structure absorbs about 3× its own weight. Sieves, magnets and filters at several points remove fines before bagging.

Hygiene

Pressed at +85…110 °C, which kills mould spores and bacteria. A clean, odour-binding bedding with low ammonia.

Packaging & pallets

15 kg and 16 kg bags on stretch-wrapped pallets, 500 kg and 1000 kg big bags. Weatherproof pallet covers and private label printing available.

Delivery terms

Minimum one full truckload (~24 t) – e.g. 24 pallets, 24 big bags or a combined load. Incoterms EXW or DAP.

FAQ

Questions we hear every week

Spread 8–10 bags (15–16 kg) in an empty box, water them lightly so the pellets open into a soft, absorbent layer, and top up with 1–2 bags a week. Remove droppings and wet spots daily.

Reckon with about 11.5 kg per m² for the initial fill – roughly 120 kg for a 10 m² box – then 15–30 kg per week. One pallet of about 1,000 kg is the usual planning figure for one horse per year.

The pellets are pressed and screened, so fines are removed before bagging. Once watered, the bedding is practically dust-free – a clear advantage for horses with sensitive airways.

Yes, in boilers designed for agro-pellets. Ash content is higher than with wood pellets, so check your boiler – we send the fuel specification and advise.

Pallets arrive stretch-wrapped and can stand outdoors on a hard surface for a short time; for longer storage keep them under a roof and off the ground. Big bags should always be stored dry.
